Like with anything, some waste is often unavoidable. This is exactly what I aim to avoid. There are always 'scraps' of beautiful wood that are surplus to requirements in the workshop... One man's trash is another (wo)man's treasure!
I take this rough 'reclaimed wood' and genuine mother of pearl and turn it into beautiful 'jewels'! Handcrafting these items with natural materials is very exciting - you can never see the true potential of the wood grains until you've sanded, polished and waxed.
