Pacifica-based painter, Danielle Gustavson, has been a painter and an art teacher since 2007. Danielle has blended her painting skills with her passion for community-driven public art bringing about a marriage of her two passions through the recent implementation of community murals in Pacifica, CA. She believes that healthy communities are those that support public displays of creative expression from its community members in real and tangible ways. Danielle is passionate about using art as a healing tool where it can create a safe space where community members can come to connect and enjoy art together. Her painting themes are often inspired from her heritage. She is a woman of mixed racial ancestry, Indigenous American and European. Her work often focuses on themes of duality, Mother Nature, sacredness, and our shared connection to it all.
