Fashion – Las Vegas

I was raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and have been enamored with fashion design since early childhood. I was given my first sewing machine at the age of 5 and would make clothing for my dolls. By age sixteen I knew that I wanted to be a fashion designer. After High School, I started saving tuition money to attend BRIVIL, a fashion institute in Caracas. I enrolled at BRIVIL in 2004 and graduated in 2007. I started my own company in Caracas designing and making hand bags and accessories. I also worked for a Caracas television station as a wardrobe stylist and also wrote for a three fashion design magazines. I arrived in Las Vegas, NV in Jan 2010 and took business management courses at College of Southern Nevada. I got my first big break was introduced to a charity by the name of Fashion for a Cause. I was privileged to design and make 7 dresses that were featured at a fashion show at The Mandalay Bay Resort here in Vegas. Nowadays, women are trying to look and act like men. My designs are a reflection of glamour, power and femininity, a blend of classic and modern style. I design for women who celebrate their femininity and are not afraid to embrace it. For me a dress is more than yards of fabrics transformed. It is an expression of what I love to do and offer the powerful essence of being a woman.
