The first pencil drawings I saw that made me want to learn to draw were the illustrations in the book, \"The House Without A Christmas Tree\" when I was in the 4th grade. They were the first realistic pencil drawings I\'d ever seen, and I was amazed that a pencil could be used to make drawings that looked so real. As an adult, I got into drafting, trying to be practical...and I HATED it. I waited tables a few years, and in \'07, picked up a pencil again. I\'ve mainly been doing commissioned portraits, but I\'m starting to get the itch to do more original portraiture and less commissions. I\'m gonna take the fact that I\'m a little scared as a sign that it\'s probably what I\'m supposed to be doing and get to it. Wish me luck.
