Welcome, I am Olivia, a 21 yr old student nurse from Australia. Two years ago I would have never imagined I'd be the person I am today. I used to think I didn't have a creative bone in my body.
I never thought much for jewellery, in fact I absolutely hated jewellery. I suppose it's because I've always been quite alternative and could never find anything that clicked with me. It wasn't until my partner began to develop his business that I realised I should find a hobby or else I'd go mad without him around as often. It seems my subconscious went wild.. It happened when I bought my sister in law a ridiculously overpriced (but gorgeous) amethyst necklace. The necklace consisted of four polished amethyst points, separated by knots and hung on a piece of rough hessian, super simple. When it arrived I looked at it and all of a sudden I knew I wanted to make jewellery. I had an epiphany and realised I could enjoy jewellery, and fortunately the only jewellery I did like was so simple and cheap to make. Instantly, I felt compelled to experiment and create my own range of natural and minimal crystal jewellery, which doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Because I'm a self confessed tight ass University student, the strongest value I hold with selling jewellery is affordability. I am not here to make profit, I am here to share my style and good vibes with the world. I am a natural born healer and sharer, so being able to give a little bit of myself to the world is really rejuvinating.
Descent Of Modern is taking me on a journey of self growth and fulfilment, I am forever learning about the different energies crystals embody and the origins/conditions they manifest in. I am continuing to push myself and try new creative hobbies, like, sewing, macrame and hopefully whatever else crosses my path.
