Music – Baltimore
Dev Dapree was born in Florida and moved to Washington DC in 1999. The blend of cultures she was surrounded by helped create the sound that she has todayShe was quickly attracted to the go-go music she commonly heard and learned to incorporate its style with her southern roots that were founded on soul blended with Hip-Hop.
Dev began her study of music briefly at Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts where she saw her craft from a different perception and used those teachings to better her art. She began recording in 2005 and has helped others create music with her gift of songwriting. She released her single “ Bout It” on iTunes July 11th 2017 and has an EP entitled “Queen Soul” July 25th, 2017.
