What is The DMV Ladies Student Group all about?
The DMV ladies Student Dance Teams was created by Choreographer, Karen Aguilar, a skilled instructor and choreographer of Latin dances, in the DC, MD and VA areas with gained experience performing in different states as in NY, LA and also in Puerto Rico when she first started dancing and performing, as well as instructing locally for an overall period of 15 years. Her dance experience allows her to specialize in developing dancers from a beginner level to skilled dancers and transform amazing PERFORMERS The DMV Ladies Student Performance Team is a 3 month challenge for students who have an open mind to DANCE! They learn dance choreography through movement using timing, technique and style.Students attend a once a week 1 ½ hour practice. During the weekly practices students train hard in dancing drills and choreography using timing, style and technique.This training is for performance only and helps in developing good social dancing skills as well. All participating students have 3 performances to complete after the 3 month training period. Positive attitude, energy and dedication is needed to become a performer on any stageAuditions are held 3 times in the year to join the next student group. By joining The DMV Ladies Student Group Team, you will have a blast learning and developing your dance life style and developing your dancing skills to a higher level, but most important create lasting performance memories and friends who share similar dance goals.
