Don Hopkins

Don Hopkins is a commercial photographer based in San Antonio, TX. He is known for his passion, creativity, attention to detail and his ability to ignite an engaging, fun-filled atmosphere for his clients. My love for photography emerged in the 1980’s. My father had a Polaroid camera which he used in his personal endeavor to capture every waking moment of the lives of my siblings and me. I even recall him giving me the camera on occasion and allowing me to take pictures on my own. Looking back at those photos today, I am grateful to have been exposed to, and entrusted with the responsibility of the art of capturing history and “freezing time” at such an early age. – Don Hopkins Don’s passion to become a photographer skyrocketed on his 16th birthday when a few close friends bought him a Kodak 35mm camera. Although he was exploring other hobbies at the time, Don discovered a new creative outlet with his new camera. In 2007, Don decided to pursue photography on a professional level. He purchased his first professional Digital SLR camera. The rest, as they say, “is history.” Don Hopkins doesn’t merely take pictures. He creates images.
