Daniel Saftner of Macroscopic Solutions

My name is Daniel Mark Saftner. I received my B.S. in Geology. I am Co-Founder of Macroscopic Solutions. As a traveler, I have most recently returned from a two-year Peace Corps service in Cameroon, Africa. I believe that the connection between science and art is the most powerful way to understand the world that we live in, and I strive to show this connection through research by photography. My focus is on the macroscopic world, the tiny world that we all too often forget to explore in our every day lives. With my photographs, I can show you why a honeybee dies after it stings you, how a rock tells a 10 million year old story, and how a virus kills its host. There is true beauty in discovery.
