Born in Topeka, Kansas; Dylan de Topeka is a mixed media artist with a focus on unique video and social media art. Through his Instagram: sirnard; he has gained a small following for his movement he labels "Neowave"; an avantgarde notion with a focus on blending ideas from the past with contemporary internet influences. He has created several styles under this idea including "Meta-imagery", images overlapping themselves to create unique compositions, and "Displacement animation" utilizing masks to spatially animate short video art. He also works with various other mediums with a focus on themes relating to the self, identity, transhumanism, technology, and privacy.
