East Coast Secondaries

Music – Richmond

East Coast Secondaries formed in Richmond, VA in the summer of 2008. Originally a composition of 2 former bands, Singer Stewart Hood and drummer Nick Boehm had previously met while performing in Richmond metal band “Even After Everything”, while guitarists Alex Powers and Billy Glynn as well as bassist John Torrance had performed with Richmond punk/ska band “TMI”. With this variety of musical backgrounds, East Coast Secondaries was formed with the intention of making music that was both fun to play and musically intensive. Originally planned to be a slower paced group, taking notes from other notable bands dredg and Rogue Wave, the band moved into faster, more driving music as they began to compose original music. Since then, East Coast Secondaries has under gone several member changes and the style of music has developed into a genre that can only be described as driving and complex. With a full length record already to their name, plans for a new EP in the Autumn of 2013 are in the works.
