Beauty – Canberra
Elaine is a successful freelance make-up artist and has been working in Canberra and surrounding regions for 8 years. She has worked on a number of local films, Sports telecast, photographic and commercial/creative shoots and weddings, formals and special occasions, hairdressing competitions and collaborative work with the photographic and modelling communities.
Most recently, Elaine has worked internationally as a team member for Global Hair and Makeup at two fashion events at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, Amber Lounge Fashion Parades in both Monaco and Singapore.
Although previously self taught, Elaine decided to enhanced her skills by completing an intensive Fashion, Glamour and Bridal Makeup Artistry Course with Napoleon Perdis in 2010 and Certificate IV in Makeup at the Canberra Makeup Academy in 2013.
To keep her skills up-to-date and further her knowledge in the fashion industry, Elaine attends workshops and courses in makeup, researches current styles and does collaborative work with photographers, models, stylists and film directors. She is currently undertaking a Diploma in Professional Styling which she hopes to use in conjunction with her current work as a makeup artist.
Elaine specialises in airbrushing, bridal, photographic/creative shoots, television, film and runway. She has a keen interest in highly creative and collaborative work involving body painting, props, costuming and fashion and is inspired by the colours, textures and shapes from nature.
