Visual Art – Cleveland

Wim and I have been designing and creating our projects for many years. For us, being creative brings happiness and we want to be able to share that with others. Each piece we make is unique and special, and our goal is to send our jewelry and art out to the world for people to enjoy! My jewelry making began with a visit to Emerald Chalice in Warren Ohio. The store was selling small polished gemstones and I spent most of my time there looking at all the different sizes, shapes, and colors they had to choose from. I left the store with a small bag of stones and my wire-wrapped gemstone necklaces were the first pieces of jewelry I made. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked on creating pieces that are beaded, woven, wrapped, braided, stamped, hammered, glued, and painted. Some of my current projects include faux suede wrap necklaces and personalized jewelry. For Wim, he started doing graffiti in the early 90’s primarily as a political statement. Right or wrong, it was his attempt to find a voice. He now expresses himself legally as a professor in the classroom and by having his Op-Eds syndicated by PeaceVoice. His current art projects utilize multiple canvases. These frequently incorporate the use of water, both waves and reflections, and the magic of outer space. Wim’s art is complete creativity and he does it to spend some time in the non-analytic hemisphere of his brain. His hope is to match people with pieces of art they enjoy and are inspired by.
