Fashion – San Diego

I have always been an artist. Whether it was photography, costume design, or floristry, I always loved creating with my hands. Once I got interested in making jewelry, I soon discovered my true passion and have not stopped since. After making jewelry very traditionally, I soon learned about the negative effects that gemstones and metals have on our environment and knew in my heart that if I was to continue making jewelry, I had to come up with a better way of doing so by using my creativity and challenging myself to come up with a less harmful way of making jewelry. Soon after, Trashy Chic was born, my line of environmentally and socially conscious, recycled and reclaimed jewelry in which I use antiques and found objects combined with new quality materials and recycled metals whenever possible to create unique and timeless pieces of jewelry! I want to make a difference with my work which is why I do what I do. I am also very passionate about the environment and try to raise awareness through my work on social and environmental issues that are going on within the jewelry and fashion industries. I believe that through education and awareness changes can be made for the better and we can preserve more of this beautiful world we all share and live in.
