Flighthouse

Formed in 2011, Flighthouse combines melancholic lyrics, searing vocals, grinding synths and acoustic guitars to produce an original electro-indie sound. Headed by front-woman Louise Formentin, with backing vocals by sister Stephanie, Flighthouse weaves in-between the spaces between indie and dance. Synths and keys are provided courtesy of UK producer Dr Paul, who has worked alongside ARIA-award winners The Presets, Potbeleez and DJ Ajax. Recording for Triple J Unearthed, Louise teamed-up with WAMI-award winner Rob Grant (Miley Cyrus, Tame Impala, Eskimo Joe, Lenny Kravitz). Percussion expertly crafted by drummer Benj Pelham who brings his indie rock influences to create a next level vibe for Flighthouse\'s unique mesh of styles. Working with a string of Perth bands including cover band Cherry, Benj is an experienced sound technician as well as guitarist with Perth trio Stem Acoustic.
