I am the proud artist for FootLace Creations by Laura and I specialize in crafting organic jewelry art for the feet.
Footlace Creations was started in desperation--it was the beginning of the new year and I was looking for a way to relieve stress. I had always liked the idea of making my own jewelry and made a few earrings. Not too exciting until I saw a toe thong. It wasn\'t long before I completely changed the design and started weaving more intricate designs and adding gems. When friends and family started asking where they could purchase them, I knew I was on to something!
My first collection debuted in June 2010 at the Kent Cornucopia Fair in WA and sold out within the first 2 days. Since then, I have continued to modify and develop the foot jewelry until it is now 99% organic.
When I lost my job in late 2011, I committed full-time to developing Footlace Creations and later realized I could offer opportunities to individuals who were also out of work or simply looking for a way to augment their income, I created sales opportunities for Referral and Reseller agents.
Although I have a degree in business and worked in the stock market, nothing could\'ve prepared me for business management from an owner\'s perspective. I am excited to see where we go from here. It has been an incredible experience that I hope to share with other entrepreneurs.
