FRIENDSONFILM

Photography – Raleigh

Arieanne Evans, better known as FRIENDSONFILM, is a dynamic upcoming photographer and creative director from Durham, North Carolina. She is also a current senior at Spelman College pursuing a Comparative women’s studies major and minor in Photography. Arieanne started the Friendsonfilm project because she saw a need for the Atlanta University Center to be documented in a new and interesting way - a breakaway from the cultural mold. Her content brings a fresh-perspective to the everyday life of students, capturing major events and on-campus occasions. Arieanne aims to tell her own story through her work which highlights the spirit and aura of the individuals in front of her camera. The name FRIENDSONFILM was coined to represent everyone that she captures on camera as someone she holds dear and considers her friend, emphasizing a certain intimacy and comfortability in front of the camera that can only be brought out by a friend. By documenting her friends through a black feminist generation Z lens, she can preserve these moments, experiences and especially the people for the rest of her life.
