Kawehi “Guava” Kuhau, a nickname that stuck with her through high school, was born and raised in Hawaii. Her obsession for unique bags began at Kamehameha, where she attended high school, a time when she would deconstruct old clothes and decorate tote bags using tools like spray paint and patches… She’s evolved since then… graduating from UH Manoa for marketing and attending sewing school where she quickly learned to design her own patterns and styles of bags. Today, she fiercely pursues her passion-- to create genuine one-of-a-kind bags from recycled vintage textiles and make them available to the ‘go-green’ individualist in us all. Kawehi’s original creations are illustrations of her genuine personality and creative mind.
