Dancer, Performer, Choreographer “She was one of the rare ones. so effortlessly herself, and they loved her for it” - unknown She is an artist of movement, propelled by passion, spiritually, and endurance. In each character she plays, the embodiment in spirit forms the foundation. Execution of movement will be inspired from within and express boldly to her audiences. Jessica was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and began her dance training at the very early of 3. She trained in various styles such as ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, break dance, and freestyle. After attending a triple Threat Dance convention in her earlier years Jessica fell in love with urban hip-hop, and freestyle movement. Jessica has trained with some of the leading industry choreographers such as Kolanie Marks, Antoine Troupe, Jerome Esplana and many more. By working with Antoine Troupe Jessica received in 2016 a scholarship to an exclusive industry training event held in Los Angeles 2017. Jessica has since had the pleasure of traveling to places such as San Diego, Toronto, Seattle, and Germany to expand her repertoire in movement. Jessica’s talent and experience has given her the pleasure of working as a back up dancer for the Canadian band Hedley at the Grey Cup Halftime show, and at their Winnipeg concert. She's also performed backup for artists T-Pain, and Vita Chambers at their Winnipeg concerts. Jessica is proud to have represented Canada internationally at the IDO World Tap Championships in Resia Germany where he team was awarded Gold medial and a front page newspaper exclusive. In 2015 she represented Canada on a second occasion at the World Hip hop Championships in SanDiego California. Dancing with Winnipeg team Project Company, they progressed to the Semi Final round of the competition. Exercising creativity in creating movement is one of Jessica’s passions. Honoured, Jessica was handpicked to be a female representative freestyle dancer in a popular charity event called Dance for Multiple Sclerosis. There her and her partner took home first place champion. Invited to come and share her work and inspire young minds to challenge their natural movement, Jessica was invited to teach at Rightfoot Dance Studio in Toronto, Ontario. She continues to pursue instruction at any opportunity presented. In 2016, Jessica relocated to Vancouver, BC in hopes of furthering her career in the film, and dance industry. Jessica is continuing her studies, working with Illustrative society, taking classes at Harbour dance Centre, and Studio 604. In her moments of silence she exercises her artistry in freestyle movement, and expression. She continues to specialize in Urban hip-hop style, and tap, but stays present in her foundation of contemporary movement. ...more
