Gillian Lapuz is a queer Filipino artist based in Toronto, Canada. Lapuz is currently a student at Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU) completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), majoring in Printmaking and minoring in Material Arts and Design: Textiles. Lapuz’ body of work revolves around the central theme of queer identity and works in a variety of mediums. His interest of connection and relationship has developed an art practice that examines personal facets of love, fear and humour. Lapuz focuses on creating work as an intersection between fine art prints and publications, using print and zines as a form of communication.
