Music – Kansas City

GULLYMARC is a talented and seasoned performer currently based in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating with his bachelor's in 2017, he began his solo music career as a singer/songwriter, focusing on a contemporary R&B sound with exceptional mainstream crossover potential. His thoughtful lyricism and harmonic compositions are what make his freshman project If It Comes To That, such a breath of fresh air.  As a youth, GULLYMARC performed in theaters across the metro area (Starlight, Repertoire, Coterie) and toured the country singing as a member of Kansas City Boys Choir. During this time, he was also afforded opportunities to sing back up for Grammy Award winners Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, and Brian Kennedy. While attending Langston University on a full academic scholarship, he could not separate from the life of performance he knew growing up. He hosted a radio show and was the co-editor of the University newspaper, all while performing at campus events like fashion shows, convocations and related ceremonies and pageants. Once his degree was in-hand, he ventured to New York to work for a publishing company, where he discovered more opportunities for music than he knew existed. This caused a shift in his professional focus from his journalistic endeavors to music. Due to unforeseen circumstances and the untimely passing of his father, he relocated to his hometown of Kansas City where he teamed up with one of its premiere producers. Currently, recording for GULLYMARC's freshman project If It Comes To That is finished. It features production from Grammy Museum-affiliated Bam Keith (Kansas City) and NOYS (New Orleans). It will be released in the summer of 2018 via Lost Balloon Entertainment.
