Music – Nashville

Born in Nashville and raised by parents who have a deep love of music, that same love flows through the veins and beats in the heart of singer/songwriter, Chris Hurt. Chris' mother was a gospel singer and his father, Jim Hurt, was known for writing one of country music's most loved songs, Alabama's "Love in the First Degree". For Chris, growing up in such a strong musical environment was “tough, but well worth it." He appreciates the hard work, sweat and love that goes into a writing a well crafted song. Chris puts his heart and reflections of personal experience into every song he writes and performs. Over the past years, Chris has entertained audiences nationwide with his raspy vocals and gritty performance style, leaving a lasting impression on those who have experienced his music, while building an extensive fan base. On any given night, you can find Chris on stage, pouring out his heart to familiar crowds and new listeners alike. Chris is always searching his audience to find that moment that an expression on a face in the crowd suddenly changes and they understand why he does what he does. "It’s not an easy business by far, but the energy of the crowd and the smiles on their faces make it all worth doing."
