Photography – San Diego
Early on I discovered two passions golf and photography. After graduating high school, I was accepted to Idaho State University to play golf on a full scholarship. I spent a year as a collegiate athlete and realized photography was my desired field study. After completing my first year of college I gave up everything to move to Santa Barbara, California so I could study my passion at Brooks Institute of Professional Photography - the best photography program in the world. While at Brooks I received a full technical photography education that included extensive lighting training, editing techniques, portraiture, product, and advertising photography. I completed classes and projects to include: action sports, advertising, product, catalog, portrait, food, fashion and fine art. I consider myself a diverse photographer in both shoots and post production. I pride myself in delivering a high quality product and capturing the personality of any given subject.
I now reside in the San Diego area, I am an In-House Product Photographer for a fine jewelry company, Run an online Etsy Store (http://www.etsy.com/shop/NickelsPhotography) selling decorative prints, and glass pendant jewelry featuring my photographs. I also get contracted to do athletic events, night clubs, concerts, and the occasional wedding.
A More Personal Note:
I have two dogs a Lab/Australian shepherd mix \"Outlaw\" and a Chocolate Lab, \"Presidio\". When not working on or with my photography I enjoy playing golf or other sports, video games and hanging with the doggies. :)
