Kas Miller Photographic Art

Visual Art – Edmonton

I started in the field of photography and have been doing it for about 10 years. My passion was on more of the eccentric side of it with artistic photo editing. In 2010 I decided I wanted to participate in Art Walk only to discover that I could only do 25 percent photography and the rest of my work had to be painted or drawn. With that I began to discover mixed media and started to develop photo based gel/acrylic works. This discovery has now led acrylic painting to be my leading passion, and I now primarily take photos for the purpose of transforming them in acrylic pieces. My greatest influences are various cultures, ethnicities and genres with everything from Avante Garde to Funk Fusion. Each year I feel I have grown as an artist and would now like to take my passion to a higher level and increased exposure.
