Kiana Flowers

The multi-talented Kiana, was born Mary Kiana Strayhorn Flowers on July 22, 1991 in San Diego, California and later moved to Indianapolis, IN. Kiana is a rapper, singer, songwriter, poet, and developing film maker. She began her career with Down2Earth Entertainment and performed under them for two years before starting her own label, Mind Heavy Music Group LLC. Kiana creates music that delivers positive , thought provoking messages and accredits her influence and spiritual guidance to Yahweh and artists like Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, the Fugees, Missy Elliot, Pink, 2pac, Kendrick Lamar, Jidenna, and many others. While with Down2Earth Entertainment, Kiana completed two projects and four videos. Young & Focus was released in 2007 with production from Riddles, Rock Star, Brad B, DJ Black, and Swift Tha Gift; all of Monkey Boi Ent . The follow up mix-tape, Young & Focus Blend, was released in the beginning of 2008. She managed to complete a third project, Colder in Summer, in 2009; but it was never released.Mary K. Flowers
