Grace of Shiva by Rachel Kubitz

This piece was designed for a good friend of mine who’s had a great impact in my life. The first real friend I’ve ever had, I could say. Her elegance and strength inspired the idea of a tiger, and her beauty and delicate nature inspired the floral and butterfly piece. The coexistence of such fierceness and elegance in one person is a contrast of both light and power. I call this piece the Grace of Shiva. Grace because of her patient and forgiving nature and Shiva, known as the destroyer (such as a tiger) but is known to uphold this balance between destruction and protection. Shiva is known for creation and rebirth through their Grace, such as my friend has renewed and protected my own heart. Through an unbreakable spirit and the finesses of a tiger, my incredible companion has inspired me to create this, The Grace of Shiva.
