Jadene Mayla

Visual Art – Portland

From 2004 through 2012, I worked as a Permaculture designer sought out for combining a graduate degree in landscape architecture with a certificate in Permaculture design. In 2013, I began to concentrate my focus on objects people can hold in their hands beyond design drawings. My goal as a landscape designer was to spread Permaculture to reservations and impoverished communities as a solution to water pollution, soil depletion, and famine worldwide. While I see myself in this role in some form, my current work is inspired by my passion to connect people to each other and to Nature through art. Specialties: I offer visionary design skills and the ability to articulate them in physical materials, to clients, students and collaborators. Past skill sets in land design inform my work.
