James Rose

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, James Rose migrated to New Orleans with the passion for “The Big Easy” culture and music seven years ago and dove in, head first. What sets Rose apart from the rest is his use of everything around him to his advantage. At times, that specifically pertains to the wide variety of instruments that litter whatever studio or room he is in at that moment. Rose’s blend is heavily influenced by British invasion bands of the 60s, psychedelic surf rock and other staples of the 90s alternative music era. His debut EP titled “Odd Hours for Dreaming” presses acoustic melodies that are supported by an undertone of grunge style surf punk but never undermining the potential of some classical piano arrangements.
