Jeannette Christensen

Currently based in DC, Christensen holds a BA in Design & Production from Arizona State University and an MFA in Design from the University of Maryland. She has designed for the Kennedy Center, Theater Alliance - DC, Adventure Theatre MTC, The Keegan Theater, Imagination Stage, Olney Theater Center, Mosaic Theater Company, and 4615 Theater Co. Christensen has also worked as a design assistant with Wolf Trap Opera, Folger Theater, and Studio Theater. Christensen's work varies from abstract manipulations of the human form to true representations of real people. She takes comfort, collaboration, and identity into careful consideration and loves exploring the impossible when it comes to quick changes, wearable structure, or shapes. She is always interested in finding new/sustainable ways to create, build, tell stories, and spread awareness through wearable art.
