Visual Art – Washington, D.C.
Born in Missouri, but raised in Alexandria, VA, I have always been drawn to the arts. I come from a family of creatives: musicians, painters, poets, singers, illustrators....and I have tried my hand at many forms, from playing cello, writing poetry, acting and now finally, painting. My paintings are abstract acrylic pour paintings, and I am inspired by naturally occurring color combinations, and palettes that evoke a mood. In my day job, I have very strict policies and guidelines I have to follow, so when I look at a blank canvas, it quiets my mind to just let the paint do what it wants because I know I only control the colors, there are no rules. I hope my art brings joy to others, and inspires everyone to follow their passion.
