"From the age of 9 years old, singer/songwriter Jermal has been singing after the likes of Sam Cooke, the Commodores, Musiq Soulchild, Fred Hammond, 112, Jagged Edge, Dru Hill, D'Angelo, Miguel and other music greats! Being raised in a church setting, Jermal cultivated an ability to capture the soul and deeper meaning within music which then allowed for him to perform in competitions, festivals and shows alike locally and abroad. Over the years he's had the opportunity to open for other established artists (and Toronto natives) like 2 time Grammy award winner Melanie Fiona, Juno Award winner (for Best R&B/Soul Recording) Carlos Morgan, Juno Nominated R and B singers Ray Robinson and Kim Davis just to name a few. Through it all, he recognizes that music is a language within itself and gives listeners a modern sound while staying true to the nostalgic feel of the 90s. He continues to move in the direction of bigger and better things to come. Jermal continues to strive towards what he loves.... The conveying of his artistry".
