Visual Art – Atlanta
Jessica Shirley is the third daughter born to a vagrant Georgian family. She has lived and traveled in various places within and without the US, and currently calls Atlanta home. Her work draws on symbols to illustrate personal and corporate history. She works primarily in drawing and painting media, adding collage or sculptural elements to pieces. A love of languages can be seen in words of English, German, Hebrew, Japanese Kanji, or Spanish in many works. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art.
