Visual Art – San Francisco
Drawing and painting is my happiness. I love to draw people working in their element, catching tiny, valuable details, and then filtering them through my imagination. I work from the thousands of sketches and iPad drawings I’ve produced, observing people day to day, and listen for the one that begs to become a colorful painting.
Being a somewhat shy person, who finds it difficult to share with others, doing figurative work fills this void for me and gives my work a certain duality. The completed artwork is a record of my relationship to the process of painting itself, and marks the moment where the subject becomes object and is ready for connection with the viewer.
