Jill Paddock

Jill Paddock, a 34 year-old native Calgarian, lives in the city with her husband and three young boys. While she has an educational background in art, Jill truly discovered her creative passion in the last 5 years. Inspired by the stunning colours, shapes and beauty of both natural and urban environments, Jill\'s work is most often characterized with saturated colour, texture and movement. As she explores the question, ‘Why am I drawn to this?’ through her art, the concept of physical and emotional movement and change, remains a fundamental theme. Her acrylic paintings often include quotes, poems or lyrics on the back to express the emotion that runs deep into her work. Jill\'s hope is that you see or feel something familiar in a different way through her work, that you will be drawn to it and allow yourself the time to explore why.
