Visual Art – New York - NYC

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, John Delaney spent his childhood replicating whatever he saw in the form of drawings. His aunt was a huge supporter and motivated him to learn all he could about his craft. That ambition continued through high school where John won every level of entry in the New Jersey Teen Arts Festival. He later graduated from Ocean County College with a focus on Art Education. John currently resides in Toms River and is a member of Trac (Toms River Artist’s Community) serving on the board of directors. He has been awarded the 2013 and 2015 Ocean County (NJ) Happening artist by the readers of oceanhappening.com and has been selected as a Raw/NY Semi Finalist - Artist of the Year. His work has gone on to win various other awards, published and internationally collected. John strives for his art to capture and convey his thoughts, while prodding primal imagination. What inspires John? Everyday life and the world around him bring his imagination to focus. It calls to him as if begging to be put into a medium. Thoughts are as real as the physical world to an artist, and John\'s learned to communicate through art for others to see. “I believe that art is life made visible. Without art, we would be reduced to a timeline, without character. To create, anything, is to arrogantly walk in the footsteps of the Gods, so an artist must tread boldly and sincerely. To show your work, is humbling. It is far more revealing than walking naked.
