After completing their undergraduate dance and professional practice degrees at the University of Bedfordshire, Jessica Hobson and Tenita Williams continued to progress with the JT Dance Company. JT Dance Company began as an undergraduate dance company but is now an emerging professional contemporary dance company of eleven members. Co-founders Jessica and Tenita choreograph abstract, quirky pieces of contemporary dance and have toured their work nationally to many platforms around the country. The company is aiming to gain as much experience as possible and showcasing works around thee country to meet as many audiences as possible. The company feel contemporary dance can and should be accessible to all and aim to bring humour, quirks, juxtaposition and abstractions to make audiences think and decide for themselves whether the messages portrayed are to their beliefs or not.
The company is a young company with the average age being 21, however, with most of the dancers entering the company from HE institutions the comapny is very relevant to what is happening now, not only in the arts world, but the environments we reside in.
