Julia is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Sydney.
Her graphic design career kicked off at the age of 10 when she began incessantly drawing Spongebob Squarepants characters until they we absolutely perfect. Many years later she discovered that she could switch this knack for creating into overdrive and design as a career.
Illustration plays a major role in her collection of work, thanks to Spongebob, she loves the originality that it showcases and the rawness to it. Her work is inspired by childbook illustrators such as Quentin Saxby Blake, aiming to spark comfort and familiarity.
Julia has worked with local theatre companies to produce logos and posters to promote shows and illustrates in her spare time.
Her style would be described as sketch-like linework and light-hued colours roughly filled in to create the sense of calmness.
