Visual Art – Los Angeles

Growing up as a Los Angeles native, I began drawing at a young age but set it aside after I started playing music in 2004. Eventually in the winter of 2007, I picked up painting and have been painting ever since. I usually find myself taking inspiration from old sketches, children's drawings and abstractions in surrealism which I attempt to mend the influence given in order to create a mess of my own. My work usually resembles certain emotions, songs, photographs, or phrases captured in a common conversation that I take to try and create a story strewn with references. I feel that my point doesn't normally get across as easily which is my intention to keep my messages rather private for the viewers to attempt to reveal their perception of my work. I think it's more interesting that way...
