Photography – Toronto
A Toronto native Tomlinson obtained her B.A. in Fine Arts from York University, having completed her practicum in photography. Her work is predominantly in photography but includes mixed media collage, paint, sculpture and performance.Tomlinson’s work draws inspiration from fantasy, fairy tales and dreams to form spiritual and physical awareness of the self. She is interested in exploring the realm of fantasy and how humans undergo different changes in life both physically and spiritually. Her work conveys the relationship between moving from one state of being to another and invites the viewer to both explore and probe her conceptual intentions.
