Katelin Zelon
Performing Art – Jersey City
Katelin Zelon is excited to be FINALLY introducing her choreography to the Big Apple!
A Houston native, Katelin grew up with an endless passion for dance. Her parents saw that passion and put her into a studio where she quickly began studying all styles of dance. As her love grew, so did her dreams of dancing and choreographing on Broadway!
Katelin attended Oklahoma City University’s Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Dance Pedagogy with honors. While in school, Katelin helped to found and choreograph the university’s first Broadway Fun for Funds Show, an annual show for “love not hate”.
Katelin was also privileged to intern at Broadway Dance Center in 2008. With the guidance of esteemed faculty such as Josh Bergasse, James Kinney, Kurt Robinson, and Shelia Barker, Katelin developed her dance technique and vastly improved her versatility as a choreographer.
Katelin\'s dance credits include Parade/Show Dancer at Walt Disney World, Mona in Orlando Theater Downtown’s cast of CHICAGO, Helga in Clear Space Theater’s cast of Cabaret, and originating the role of Jenny Pristine in the Off-Broadway showcase of Visiting Day.
Katelin is already making her mark in NYC with her choreography! Her concept video, The Heist, debuted last fall with wonderful feedback from working choreographers and in the fall she choreographed Rocky Horror at Connecticut\'s Maritime Aquarium.
Katelin is a motivated, positive spirit, who can’t wait to tell you stories the only way she knows how, through movement!
