Kate McConnell
Visual Art – Toronto
Visual artist living at working out of the GTA. My work ranges from traditional portraits to large scale murals to graphic painted mannequins and salvaged objects. My mediums are mainly acrylic on wood panel, focusing on a minimal zorn pallet to create the most detailed and true to nature end result. My larger scale work draws more on my love of surreal horror and strong passion in feminism and veganism to confront the viewer with a contrast of the hyper-sexualized female form out for display with graphic visuals of butcher cuts.
