Toronto native Kem’Yah, has built himself as a rapper, R&B singer and songwriter. With fumes of reggae, hints of soul and jazz, his urban sound is a fine blend of his Congolese background and style bending musicianship.
For Kem'Yah, the process is spiritual, and the music is enlightening. Through meditation, smoking and prayers, Kem’Yah reaches a deeper state into creation, and the sound is proof. Lauryn Hill, Buju Banton, Koffi Olomide & Kendrick Lamar are all celebrated in the Kem’Yah music brand. Thought provoking and dynamic, Kem’Yah has had the pleasure of sharing the stage at concerts, local festivals, award shows and tours with the likes of Lecrae, Christon Gray, Afrika Bambataa, Leandra Johnson, Bow Wow and more. He has released 2 studio albums, ‘Rvse of The Fxllen’ and ‘Pressure’ throughout his career, which allowed growth and experimentation. Kem’Yah is expected to release his long-awaited third LP, ‘The Book of Clarity’ later in 2019.
