Craft – Seattle
Kendle Meacham was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and currently resides in Seattle, WA. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2018 with a BFA in Fibers and a minor in drawing. She has a passion for knitting and weaving and isn’t afraid of a little color. She is inspired by high fashion knitwear designers such as Kenzo and Missoni because of their unapologetic use of color and form. Her muse is the wild, energetic, never-slowing-down world around her. Kendle’s style is whimsical yet sophisticated and allows the viewer to engage with their playful side. She pushes knitting to its limits by incorporating found material and atypical techniques. The slow, therapeutic nature of knitting and weaving brings a calming presence to her work and her process.
