KITRA WAS FOUNDED IN LOS ANGELES, BY DESIGNER AND CERTIFIED GRADUATE GEMOLOGIST, STACEY ROTH, IN 2012. Having graduated Drew University, as an Art History major, Stacey sought to work in the art auction business as a jewelry appraiser. After attending the Gemological Institute of America in New York, and working for a myriad of jewelry designers and diamond dealers in both New York and Los Angeles, she decided to follow her passion: jewelry design. This inspired a move from California, to her current residence in Nashville, TN, where she attended the New Approach School for Jewelers. It was there she learned to skillfully fabricate her own designs. Stacey’s creations are mainly inspired by a love of immersing herself in the zeitgeist of different eras; finding intrigue in the spirit of a particular period of history. She draws much inspiration from the Art Deco period in particular. Even as a young child, frequenting the museums of New York City with her family, Stacey appreciated the evolution of art through the ages, and fell in love with both the fine and decorative arts. In her jewelry, each gemstone tells a story; each design a tribute to the beauty of art, architecture, and nature that surrounds us through the ages.
