My name is Krista and I am a 20 year old artist living in Long Island, NY. I go to college and am studying a business degree. One day I hope this degree helps me to successfully run an art gallery in which I can showcase mine as well as other’s art. I have loved art for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a child it has been my passion. Over the years as my art style evolves I can look back on things I had drawn in elementary or middle school and see the building blocks of my art today. To expand as an artist, I enjoy finding new mediums to work with. I want to explore myself as an artist and to test my limits as often as possible. Paint markers are one of my favorite mediums because they allow me to draw on any material I want! Finding new things to draw on and decorate is very fun for me. I have drawn on a wide range of things from home decor to bongs to shoes and clothes to alcohol bottles. I like the 3D aspect of drawing on various objects. I also enjoy working with clay and often sculpt my own jewelry. One thing that really inspires my art is color. I like to make bright and vibrant art that I believe to be eye catching. I’m also inspired by the female body which I believe to be very beautiful and often incorporate into my work. I do portraits of people’s faces as well as their nudes! I work in many different styles including realism, surrealism, and abstract. I enjoy creating trippy and intricate patterns in my abstract work. I also enjoy creating realistic works with surrealistic color palettes. Showcasing my work and seeing the positive responses people have to my art has been a dream come true.
