Kristy Dubinsky

Visual Art – Pittsburgh

My name is Kristy Dubinsky and I have been an artist all of my life. I have been teaching high school art at Elizabeth Forward in Elizabeth, PA for nine years now. I have an extensive portfolio that contains work from various medias such as pastels, pencil drawings, paintings, ceramics, prints, photography, and much more. I also focus on many styles that range from photo-realism to abstract works. I love experimenting and creating new works that test my limitations. The work that I create is greatly influenced by my surroundings, life, and experiences. Although I create work in all medias and subject matters, my work seems to have one connection which is striving to recreate the beauty that I find in life and nature. It may be capturing things such as the way the light falls upon a landscape, the vibrant colors in the sky, the way the folds in clothing show the figure beneath, or the interesting expressions and characteristics of human beings. I try to convey these observations and ideas to others by producing artistic representational images that portray the way that I think, feel, and view the world around me. My work is a signature of my inner self and symbolizes the life that surrounds me. I continue to add variety to my art as the world around me changes. Art is and always will be my escape into the beautiful world.
