Visual Art – Boston
I am a painting major at Massachusetts College of Art. I practice traditional oil painting, but acrylic is my favorite painting medium. I often incorporate other mixed media into my pieces in order to create a more physical feel. I have been painting for four years three of them at Massart. My paintings are a representation of what i see. In order to translate what i see into a two-dimensional surface, i must reevaluate my preconceptions of the given motif. I have been learning a lot of techniques of painting in the last several years, but most importantly i am learning to see more effectively in terms of light, color, form, and space.
