Performing Art – Omaha

Kyle Van Newkirk is a small town raised Nebraskan native, from Morrill, NE. He is an award winning choreographer, perform, as well as highly demanded teacher in the Midwest. His unique energetic, hard hitting, gigantic style is highly sought after as a solo performer around the world. Kyle is a technician at heart as well as for his musicality and performance value for teaching. The choreography he has done for students around the United States has received many awards. Kyle most recently competed on the new television series, NBC World of Dance. Kyle will be part of the World of Dance tour starting in the fall of 2017 as a solo performer. Kyle recently performed at the Dizzy Feet Foundation, National Tap Dance day as a soloist in Los Angeles. In May of 2016 Kyle wrote and produced his one-man tap show called “Tappin n Time.” Kyle was invited to perform as a soloist at the IDO World Gala held in Graz, Austria in 2016 with other World Champion Dance Groups from all over the world. Kyle won the World Champion of Tap title in 2015, the first American Male soloist to hold this title. He has performed at the Capizio Ace Awards for the last three years. Kyle won the Operation Tap Choreography Challenge in 2016 as he wrote and produced the piece “Date Night.” Kyle has danced with numerous groups, done choreography, and performed at various Tap Festivals around the United States. The festivals he has performed at are the Big Apple Tap Festival, Omaha Rhythm Weekend, Detroit Tap Festival, Tap 24.7, Phoenix Fire/Liberate Artist, and Rhythm Tap Project. Kyle was the Captain of the American Tap Company Team for the United States 2014-2015, a member of the American Tap Company, Dance Dimensions, and Tap 24.7. Kyle is honored to be a featured performer at the Indianopolis Symphony for the Yuletide Celebration 2017.
