Larissa can currently be heard as the featured jazz vocalist for the University of Manitoba Jazz Orchestra (UMJO) directed by Derrick Gardner. She also plays around the city with the likes of guitarist Chenoa McKelvey, saxophonist and pianist Connor Derraugh, and the multi-talented Jonathan Alexiuk.
Larissa has had the opportunity to collaborate with Juno nominated Larry Roy and Erin Propp, Karly Epp who placed 15th in the Sarah Vaughan Competition. Larissa has also had the privilege of working with Quincy Davis, Will Bonness, Jon Gordon, Derrick Gardner, and Ethan Ardelli.
She has also recently had the opportunity to study under the direction of Shannon Unger who's expertise is commercial singing such as pop, jazz, and musical theatre.
Inspired by the voices of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell, Cyrille Aimee, and Cecile McLorin-Salvant, Larissa constantly pushes herself to reinvent her style to reflect her excitement for music and enthusiasm for performing.
Larissa's warm, soft tone, her strong sense of rhythm and swing, her energy on the stage, and her improvising abilities keep her audience coming back for more!
