Photography – Omaha
Lasha Goodwin was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1996. Since a young age, Lasha demonstrated a passion for art and the built environment. While she enjoys a variety of artistic mediums such as paints, pastels, and sculptural art, photography is where her passion lies. In school she studied architecture and real estate which opened her eye to a consideration for visual detail she had yet to explore. The photos Lasha captures with the use of her iPhone are seemingly ordinary or even mundane, but contain a compelling, authentic beauty. These elements could be bright colors, unique textures, or even reflections. Many of Lasha's photos are taken in Omaha or around Nebraska, but others were captured in Japan and Costa Rica.
Outside of photography, Lasha is passionate about community revitalization and historic preservation. In the summer, she teaches gardening to kids at the Global Leadership Community Garden. She has also distilled historic nominations to save historically significant spaces.
